With the success of the Citrus Energy Beaver Buzz, we just couldn’t wait to set off in search of an entirely new, entirely Canadian flavour! We started at the 100th meridian, where the great plains begin, and ventured east until we hit the Great Big Sea. In the end, we found ourselves Running Back to Saskatoon, where we fell in love with the wild Saskatoon Berry.

The name “Saskatoon berry” comes from the Cree word "Misâskwatôminihk" and it was eaten by Canada's native people, as well as being used as flavouring for meat. Today, the Saskatoon berry is often used as an ingredient in pies, jams, wines, cider, and beers.

We succeeded in this by making Pink Energy with sucralose instead of aspartame, because sucralose is derived from natural sugar. It’s even safe for diabetics!
